Ladoga - Fred V. Alexander, 74, who farmed much of his life in this area died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He had been in failing health two years and seriouly ill 5 days. He was born Feb 15, 1891, near Roachdale to Thomas and Cara Gohman Alexander. He was married to Elizabeth McCormick Dec 24, 1910 in Crawfordsville. He lived in Crawfordsville 15 years. He was a member of Ladoga Christian Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, James of Indianapolis; four daughters, Mrs. Russell Mahan and Mrs. Chalres Sewell of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Donald McGaughey of Ladoga and Mrs. Robert Bain of New Market; a sister, Mrs. Mary Busenbark of Crawfordsville; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Servies at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ladoga Christian Church where the body will lie in state one hour preceding the service. Rev. Ronald Marshall will officiate. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home in Ladoga after noon Tuesday.
